About Peace of Heaven

Welcome to Peace of Heaven.

Although you will notice the word “we” used throughout this website, it is simply the expression of one person’s journey of faith. I use “we” because faith was never meant to be walked alone — and my hope is that, as you read, you will feel included in that journey.

I am now in my mid-70s and have been a Christian for more than 40 years. Looking back, I can only describe it as a story of God’s patience, kindness, and faithfulness. Thirty-five years ago, while living in Texas, I was ordained into Christian ministry — something I have always regarded as a privilege rather than an achievement.

For nine years, I lived in Australia, where I was given the opportunity to host a teaching and phone-in program on a local Rhema radio station. Those years were less about having all the answers and more about learning, listening, and encouraging others in their own walk with God.

Music has also been a steady thread throughout my life. I play piano and guitar and have written a number of Christian songs available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and other platforms. Songwriting has simply been one way of expressing gratitude for what the Lord has done.

Over the years I have also written two books, each very different in tone and focus.

My first book, “40 Years of Miracles,” recounts many of the extraordinary things I have personally witnessed during four decades of faith — moments where I saw what I can only describe as the gracious intervention of God. These include physical healings, including seeing legs grow in front of my eyes, people restored from serious illness, and many other deeply moving answers to prayer. The book is not written to elevate experiences, but to testify to God’s faithfulness and compassion.

My second book, “From Rules to Relationship,” is quite different. It is less about outward miracles and more about the inward journey. It is simply one man’s reflections on Christianity — exploring the difference between law and grace, religion and relationship, commitment and surrender, faith and fear, freedom and control.

If the first book tells the story of what I have seen God do, the second shares what I have come to understand about who He is — and how He invites us not into pressure or performance, but into trust.

I am no longer married, but I remain deeply grateful for my two grown sons, Timothy and Jordan, who are among the greatest blessings of my life.

Peace of Heaven exists for one simple reason: to gently point people toward the peace that comes from knowing God — not through striving, but through relationship; not through fear, but through grace.

If something here encourages you, then it has fulfilled its purpose.

Christian Books

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of seeing how faith and grace can transform lives in remarkable ways. Writing has become a way for me to share those experiences, the lessons I’ve learned, and the message of God’s grace that continues to impact my life.

40 Years of Miracles
This book reflects on four decades of witnessing God’s faithfulness and miraculous work in everyday life. Through personal experiences and stories of faith, it highlights how God continues to move and work in ways that often surprise and encourage us.

From Rules to Relationship
Many people experience Christianity as a system of rules rather than a living relationship. In this book, I explore the freedom that comes from moving away from performance-based faith and into a genuine relationship with God built on grace.

Coming Soon – Totally Forgiven and Forever Secure
My next book will focus on the powerful truth that through Christ we are completely forgiven and eternally secure. It will explore what it truly means to live with confidence in God’s grace and love, free from fear and condemnation.

Books I Recommend

Two books that have had a significant influence on my understanding of grace and the Christian life are written by Bob George.

Classic Christianity – by Bob George
A powerful and practical explanation of the gospel of grace and what it really means to live the Christian life through Christ rather than through human effort.

Growing in Grace – by Bob George
This book builds on the message of grace and helps believers understand how spiritual growth comes not through striving, but through resting in what Christ has already accomplished.

The Preface from Rules To Relationship

For much of my early life, God felt distant–almost unreachable. I knew about Him, but my understanding was that He was far away, detached, and largely uninterested in the details of my life.  I believed that one day, when my time on earth was over, I would finally be with Him.  Until then, God remained somewhere beyond the stars—present in theory, but not in relationship.

That perception changed dramatically when God intervened at the darkest moment of my life. As I stood on the brink of suicide, He made Himself known to me—not as a distant deity, but as a personal, loving God who knew everything about me and still wanted me.  In that moment, I realized that God was not waiting for me at the end of my life; He was meeting me right there in the middle of it.  That encounter marked the beginning of a true relationship, not merely a belief system, and it changed everything.

In my early years as a Christian—over 40 years ago now—I was sincere, committed, and deeply religious.  I wanted to please God, and I assumed that this meant trying harder, being better, and doing more.  Like many believers, I lived with a mixture of devotion and quiet frustration, commitment and exhaustion, faith and fear.  Christianity often felt more like something to be endured rather than enjoyed.

A significant awakening began during the two years I lived in Texas, where I listened daily to Bob George on the People-to-People radio broadcast.  Through those teachings, I began to clearly understand the profound difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant, between law and grace.  I came to see that many Christians –including myself—were attempting to live the Christian life by blending the two, unknowingly missing out on the freedom Jesus secured for us.

That discovery was transformative.  As I learned to rest in the New Covenant, I experienced a freedom I had never known before—not freedom from God, but freedom with God. I discovered intimacy instead of distance, surrender instead of striving, faith instead of fear, and relationship instead of religion.  The Christian life no longer felt like a burden to carry, but a life to be lived—one empowered by Christ Himself.

Preface of 40 Years of Miracles

Miracle

"An extraordinary occurrence that surpasses all known human powers or natural forces and is ascribed to a divine or supernatural cause, esp.to God."

Today, at the time of drafting this book, I am 74 years old and have been a Christian, walking with the Lord for over 40 years, and have seen God move in incredible ways. Sometimes, they have been stunning miracles that happen right in front of your eyes, like seeing a leg grow; other times, you experience something so exceptional that it could only be a God-incidence, not a coincidence.

In the following chapters, I have shared many of the experiences I have enjoyed in 40-plus years, however there are more things that I have seen and experienced than I can recall or write down.  The last verse in the book of John (John 21:25) reads "And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen."

I am in no way comparing myself to Jesus, it is just that when you recognize God's involvement in your life, it is easy to see how wonderful He is. The average person couldn't look back over their life and remember all the wonderful little acts of love their earthly father did while they were growing up.  It is no different for a Christian to look back over their life and see how their Heavenly Father has loved, provided, and protected them also.

I am blessed to be able to share just a few of the things my Heavenly Father has done in my life.  I hope it encourages you and proves to be a blessing to you.

Someone gave it to me the other day after they had read it, and I read it in one go one evening. I found it easy to read and enjoyable. It's great to see the incredible things that God does in our lives.
